After pouring the refractory castable, you need to wait until the entire castable is poured before you can carry out normal furnace baking operations. So how long does it take to bake the furnace after the castable is finished? Generally speaking, after pouring the refractory castable, it takes 24 hours for the castable to harden before demolding, and then natural curing, which takes about 3 days to bake the furnace, to avoid the refractory castable from falling off or bursting during the furnace baking process due to inadequate hardening.
The pouring quality of the refractory castable and the time of the middle road activation are directly related to the use effect and life of the furnace, so before the early production, this process must be there, and it takes a long time. In addition to natural solidification, furnace baking also takes a lot of time, and it must be carried out strictly by regulations, to ensure the quality of the refractory castable and the stability of the kiln after production.
We all know that a refractory castable furnace is very important for refractory castable. For kiln, baking affects the service life of the kiln. If the furnace is not baked correctly, there is a great probability that the refractory castable will fall off. If the temperature rises too quickly, it is likely to cause the furnace to explode, so it is necessary to strictly follow the regulations. Taking the baking furnace scheme of high-aluminum castable as an example, when starting to bake, it should be baked slowly, and diesel and other liquid fuels should not be poured on the castable. The baking should be slowly heated. The heating process usually includes the following heating sections: room temperature to 150℃, 150℃ to 300℃, 300℃ to 600℃, 600℃ to 800℃ and 800℃ to the use temperature. Each heating section should be slowly heated at 15℃/h, 15℃/h, 10℃/h, 20℃/h, and 30℃/h, respectively. At the same time, it should be kept warm at 150℃, 300℃, 600℃, and 800℃ for 10 hours. The overall baking time is about 110 hours, but it should be noted that the baking curve should be appropriately adjusted according to the actual casting thickness.
It can be seen from this that it takes about a week for solidification and furnace baking from the completion of the construction of the refractory castable to the start of production, so we cannot rush into production to avoid the risk of refractory castable falling off and bursting, which will affect the production.
