Sintered corundum bricks are kind of high alumina refractory bricks, It is a refractory clinker made of calcined alumina or industrial alumina powder as raw material, finely ground into balls or green bodies, and sintered at a high temperature of 1750℃~1900℃.
Sintered corundum bricks are a kind of high alumina refractory brick, it is a refractory clinker made of calcined alumina or industrial alumina powder as raw material, finely ground into balls or green bodies, and sintered at a high temperature of 1750℃~1900℃.
Sintered corundum with Al2O3 over 99% is mostly made of uniform fine-grained corundum directly combined, the apparent porosity is below 3.0%, the bulk density reaches 3.3g/cm3, and the refractoriness is close to the melting point of corundum. It has good volume stability and chemical inertness, is not easily eroded by reducing atmosphere, molten glass, and molten metal, and has good mechanical strength and wear resistance at room temperature or high temperature.
The alumina content in Corundum Bricks can be traced to the use of synthetic corundum of high purity, such as white fused alumina or tabular alumina. Additional ingredients are special refractory clays, reactive alumina, and very pure modifications of silica.
Sintered corundum bricks are fired at high temperatures to form a matrix with mullite, mullite-corundum, or corundum that has excellent volume stability.
1. High cold compressive strength reaches up to 340MPa.
2. High initial refractoriness under load, over 1750 ℃.
3. Good chemical stability.
4. With strong resistance to acid and basic slag erosion.
5. With strong resistance to metal and molten goods and glass erosion.
6. Thermal resistance is related to its structure.
7. Dense foods have a strong resistance to erosion.
Sintered corundum bricks are high-grade refractory materials, suitable for use in high-temperature kilns under various atmospheric conditions. High-quality high-purity corundum bricks are widely used in zirconia ceramics, fluorescent materials, electronic ceramics, and magnetic materials. High-temperature sintering of ceramic powder and gasification furnaces in the petrochemical industry, secondary reforming furnaces for synthetic ammonia, carbon black reaction furnaces, and high-temperature kilns for the glass industry. The dimensions, physical and chemical indicators, and service life of the products have met the requirements of high-temperature furnaces.
Sintered corundum bricks are mainly used in blast furnaces and refining furnaces outside the metallurgical industry. It is also used in ironmaking blast furnaces and blast furnace hot blast stoves, refining furnaces outside steelmaking furnaces, and sliding nozzles. Glass melting furnaces and petrochemical industrial furnaces are now used in a large proportion of glass melting furnaces in the market.
It is widely used in the partition wall of carbonization chambers, firing chamber of coke ovens, heat regenerator chamber of steelmaking open hearth furnaces, slag pockets, soaking pit furnaces, glass melting furnaces, arch crown and other weight-bearing areas of ceramic kilns.
