Casables are a type of refractory material, mainly used to provide protection and support in high-temperature environments. The following are the types and uses of castables:
1. Corundum castable: Made of corundum as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used for high-temperature equipment such as high-temperature kilns, high-temperature pipes, and blast furnace linings.
2. Silicon carbide castable: Made of silicon carbide as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used to manufacture high-temperature equipment such as silicon carbide products, wear-resistant parts, and high-temperature furnaces.
3. Wear-resistant castable: Made of wear-resistant aggregate as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used for high-temperature wear-resistant equipment such as cement kilns and coal-fired boilers.
4. High-aluminum castable: Made of high-aluminum as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used for high-temperature equipment such as high-temperature kilns and high-temperature pipes.
5. Insulation castable: Made of refractory fiber as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used for high-temperature insulation equipment, such as the top and furnace wall of high-temperature kilns.
6. Acid-resistant castable: Made of siliceous material as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used to manufacture acid-resistant equipment, such as high-temperature pipes and reactors in sulfuric acid plants.
7. Alkali-resistant castable: Made of low-cement castable or phosphate castable as the main raw material and an appropriate amount of binder. Mainly used to manufacture alkali-resistant equipment, such as high-temperature pipes and reactors in chemical plants.
In short, castables have excellent high-temperature performance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties, and are widely used in the manufacture and maintenance of equipment in various high-temperature environments.
